A competição, entre os dias 10 e 14 de outubro, terá a inclusão da categoria shifter. A classe, que tem os carros mais velozes e tecnológicos do mundo, geralmente não faz parte das disputas por ter um custo alto. O presidente da Comissão Nacional de Kart (CNK), Pedro Sereno, explicou que decidiu atender a um pedido dos competidores.
